Contact Lenses Services:
The clinic offers a range of soft daily wear and disposable hydrogel contact lenses, silicone hydrogel lenses, Rigid Gas permeable (RGP )contact lenses and specialty contact lenses like Scleral , miniscleral and myopia control soft multifocal lenses
Dr Meena is Emerald certified Orthokeratology Practitioner. These are special type of RGP lenses that are worn successfully at night while the patient is sleeping and removed as soon as patient wakes up . He can then enjoy the spectacle and contact lens free vision throughout the day .
Orthokeratology and myopia control soft multifocal lenses are especially important for children between the ages of 6-12 yrs . These lenses help reduce the progression of short-sightedness.
Scleral and miniscleral lenses are especially used in patients of Keratoconus , severe dry eyes , Steven Johnsons syndrome, very high spectacle prescriptions where usual soft or RGP lenses do not give stabile fitting or vision, contact sports etc
We help in contact lens evaluation; helping to teach contact lens wear and offering regular follow up.
